" The Inkwell Family Collection"
With inspiration from a fabulous artist named Carla Sonheim, I have done some quick sketches, using ink, a very old brush and a Micron pen. These are in my 6X9 sketchbook. I love the looseness of the figures, and the simple marks that bring personality to them. Thanks Carla!

" Hope"
This piece is a study in several things. First, a lesson for me in using more neutrals and fewer bright colors. I think that was a success. Second, this was a study in multiple mediums. This work includes acrylics, graphite, and oil pastels. Great fun working this way!

" Winter Comes"
In an effort to continue creating, without buying additional materials, I am on a mission to re-work some of my older pieces that I find boring, or incomplete or just plain wrong. Below I will show you the before image and then the, I think, new and improved piece. I have promised myself to include a small part of the original painting in the final rendition. Can you see it?

"Roasting Pears" ......
Hi All!
This is a painting I did this week in the Open Studio class as part of the Tybee Arts Association. I joined the association to facilitate my painting during the three months we are here on Tybee Island Georgia.
The painting is different. The lines are not as harsh as my usual work, which is more like work by a graphic artist. I like this new approach and will continue this path for awhile.......I think ......
