"THE BOYS AT THE TRACK ..."

Since my sewing machine has "left the building", I have had to devise a way to entertain myself with an alternative creative technique. Here is a piece I completed using my fingers to paint with, and attaching decorative papers. It is on gallery wrapped canvas and measures 18 X 24. This kept me busy for several days! "The Boys At The Track "- acrylic and paper collage 18 X 24.

I have started a new series of stitched paintings with the "ring" as the central design feature. This one is titled "Ring 1". "Ring 2 " is already a work in progress. This measures 14" X 32". I am not sure how many pieces will become part of the series, but right now I do have 12 design ideas sketched out. Creating a series of art works with a central theme is a great way to focus and explore something in depth. I like the idea!

100 FACES ...A JOURNEY

Yesterday I had a one day solo show of the beginnnings of my journey to create 100 Faces. I have challenged myself to see if there are 100 different faces in my head and can I capture them all during 2012. So far, I have retrieved 30 faces. We shall see how it goes! The show was a success and I met some wonderful people during the day. I am wondering about the possibility of another show when all 100 faces are completed (minus the ones that have sold of course). I wish you all could have stopped by!
