Painted Children's Chairs ......

This new obsession is going to take over my studio.  They are signed and dated on the bottom, and now needing a good home. I wonder if there is a market for painted furniture ?

My "Underwater Bench" .....

And yet another way to ignore the winter that won't quit!  This little bench (top measures 13 " X 24" ) was a really ugly brown and was hanging out at a thrift store.  Although very sturdy, it really needed some help!
After prepping the surface, I spray painted it lavender all over, and then began my 2 week long trip to the tropics via paint.  In a couple of days I will add 3 coats of a clear acrylic sealer. This makes me so happy!  In fact, I have another piece of furniture waiting for something magical to happen.  Stay tuned!  In the meantime, go find a piece of furniture that looks really sad and make it fun!

A Tale of Two Sadies

I painted the first Sadie and just hated itToo constricted, too contrived, too wrong.  So, I pulled out paints, plastic gloves, large paint brushes, and fixed Sadie. Sadie no longer wonders, Sadie Knows!  In the process she acquired a gold tooth.  That's Sadie :)
" Sadie Wonders "  (and is now no more)

My "JOY" Jeans ....

After many hours of hand stitching....and many sore fingers..........my jeans are finished!  It has kept me busy the past couple of weeks while the temperature was hovering around zero and the snow was everywhere.  They look quite like Spring, don't you think?  I can't wait to wear them!
