THE PILLOWCASE PROJECT....
Recently I contacted the Meadville Medical Center to suggest a service I could provide. I wanted to make pillowcases for the pediatric unit. These pillowcases would be in child friendly patterns and bright colors. When the child is released from the hospital they take the pillowcase home with them. It also makes a handy carrying case for toys and cards and personal items. They liked the proposal and requested an initial amount of a dozen. So this is what I did over the holiday weekend! Here are a dozen colorful pillowcases. If you know even a little bit about sewing this is a fun project that might be appreciated by your local hospital. They are very easy to make. If the idea appeals to you, give them a call and see what they think. I bet they will love the idea!
