" Hope"

This piece is a study in several things.  First, a lesson for me in using more neutrals and fewer bright colors.  I think that was a success. Second, this was a study in multiple mediums.  This work includes acrylics, graphite, and oil pastels.  Great fun working this way!

Very pleasing composition. What about experimenting with just a touch of bright color? I remember reading about that as a technique in Japanese art and seeing examples -- very effective

A good idea I think. Roy was wanting me to add just one tiny green leaf to the flower stem. Let me think about that .....
