LEARNING TO DRAW ...LESSON #2

Oh my! This was extremely difficult! The assignment was to rest your hand on the table and draw it, (whichever hand is not holding the pencil). I finally had to stop because my "resting" hand was getting a cramp in it. I found this exercise to be much more difficult than drawing my face. Even though, as I go back to view that face, it does look a lot like Jim Carey as "The Grinch".
This drawing stuff is kinda fun actually. In fact, yesterday I bought a sketch pad, many more #2 pencils and some charcoal pencils also. I guess that means I am committed to finishing the workbook and doing additional sketching on my own. I am looking forward to learning how to draw Perspective.

Judy, I know these are only the pretest drawings, but believe me you are starting way ahead of a lot of people! Could that be because you LIVE in the right side of your brain ?!! You're off to a good start. I am enjoying the view. Thanx. Keep it coming ... Luv ya.

I am totally amazed that I drew these! Seriously, a month ago I was in the land of stick people! I am enjoying the discovery.

You are doing great! Drawing can be taught....remember back when they taught drafting? Like music practice/practice. Drawing is a small tool in the world of an artist. Being creative is the most important. Enjoy the process. It is fun seeing your steps of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. cheers D
