A TREAT FOR OUR BIRDS.....

Today I put out a proper watering saucer for our birds. In the center is a large piece of aquamarine glass that catches the sun and shimmers just like the water. I think they will like it! One of the yucca plants outside the courtyard wall has bloomed. I managed to get a photograph of it before Bart, our resident and destructive young squirrel, ate the rest of the blossoms. He does have quite an appetite.
It is a beautiful summer day here in the high desert part of New Mexico; the kind of weather that makes a person happy! I hope your day is going well too.

That's so cute your squirrel has a name! There are way too many here to name and I doubt they would respond to a name. LOL The squirrels here love to tease the dog and cats and know exactly what they're doing - quite aggressively!
I have to say - your pics are great and I especially love the new bell you added to the top of your doorway! Nice finish! Will you post a pic of Bart? I would love to see what he looks like. Oh, and I'm just curious how you figured out he is a he. Or did he just look like a Bart? Ok, I must need some sleep cause I'm picturing Bart wearing chaps, a vest, and a little black cowboy hat! Ha!
Nice to hear you're having a great week. I am too! :) When I get a camera, I'll have to take some pics of all my planting - color is such a wonderful thing! (Even if it's mostly green!)

OK...green. I think I remember what that looks like (grin). We named the creature BART (for the Bay Area Rapid Transit) because he moves so fast! He may be a she. Who knows? He eats everything that doesn't get out of his way. Yeah, a little cowboy creature. You need more sleep.......

Well Jude...I don't think it's from lack of sleep! It seems that being exposed to the creation of comics, as my son does on a regular basis, I've become "comic thought" first. Bart could make an adorable new comic...speeding along like that transit system and eating everything in his path and all! Heh heh
Hope you have a great Wednesday!
Hugs,
Joan

Watering Saucer - Bird Bath
Whether it's to give water to the birds for drinking or bathing...it's a beauty Jude. I'm sure the birdies will love it!
